Houry: Peace, war decision not to be discussed in dialogue

FEBRUARY 4, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) MP Ammar Houry in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon -100.3 100.5 – Radio said it was agreed in the dialogue between the Future Movement and Hezbollah on two main issues which are solving the presidency dilemma and finding means to reduce tension.

“So, any issue that may contribute to fueling this tension must be put on the table,” he explained, noting that the abolition of the rules of engagement causes tension.

Houry emphasized “that the issue of war and peace decision is not part of the dialogue between the Future Movement and Hezbollah,” stressing however that this decision must be exclusively in the hands of the Lebanese State.
