Hobeish: to elect new President without waiting for foreign interventions

JANUARY 10, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) MP Hadi Hobeish said on Saturday that Lebanese political parties should nationally agree on electing a new president without waiting for any foreign meddling.

The lawmaker indicated that the main objective of the Future- Hizbullah dialogue was to cramp tension on the street, adding that “the presidential file is not on the dialogue agenda.”

He told “Voice of Lebanon” radio station that both parties deal with the issues on the table with the required seriousness.

Responding to a question about Aoun-Geagea meeting, Hobeish stressed that “this meeting is necessary to discuss the presidential file and candidates explicitly.”
