Hezbollah condemns murder of Kasasbeh, pushes for unified stance in fight against terrorist groups

FEBRUARY 4, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Hezbollah fervently deplored in a statement on Wednesday “the brutal and heinous crime” committed by Daesh terrorists against the Jordanian pilot captive, Mouaz Kasasbeh, offering his family members and the people of Jordan the party’s deepest condolences.

“Hezbollah believes that it is necessary for many countries in the region and the world to reconsider the policies adopted, especially their support to terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq, which are deliberately tarnishing the image of Islam and Muslims and keeping them away from religion through the adoption of strange and reprehensible opinions,” Hezbollah statement read.

The party warned in its statement that the support of these groups with money, weapons, and political cover is what has led to the exacerbation of danger.

“It has become necessary to take a unified position to fight these groups politically, culturally and practically,” Hezbollah added in its statement.
