FEBRUARY 23, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Former Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, underlined the importance of the election of the president of the republic, saying matters in the country can only be set right through such an election.
“Matters can’t be settled in Lebanon without a head of state,” the former Prime Minister said on Monday in front of a delegation of the “Beirut National Gathering”, led by former minister Mohammad Yousef Beydoun.
Hariri also pointed out that he is seeking through dialogue to achieve stability in the country, underscoring the need for steadfastness in the face of the project aimed at disrupting the state and its institutions.
Separately, Hariri met with Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Inan Ozyildiz, whereby the pair discussed the general situation and bilateral relations.
Among Hariri’s itinerant visitors for today has been MP Elie Skaff, with talks reportedly dwelling on the current developments.
