Hakim at USJ Social Entrepreneurship graduation: To humanize the economy

APRIL 1, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Trade and Economy Minister, Alain Hakim, on Wednesday deemed social entrepreneurship as a message for the management of communities where humans reconcile with themselves to humanize the economy and don’t attain personal benefits at the expense of others.

The Minister’s words came during his patronization of a ceremony by the USJ graduating a number of Social Entrepreneurship diploma holders.

In his address, Hakim pointed out that “many investors refuse invest their money in war-linked industries or even finance projects that abuse kids.”

In a word to the graduating students, Hakim also said: “Your University has taught you not to contribute to corruption or illegal competition, and not to discriminate between races, religions or social affiliation, but to fight against all forms of discrimination and exploitation of human beings.”
