Gemayel pushes for swift presidential election

FEBRUARY 23, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Former President Amine Gemayel stressed on Monday from Bkirki the need to “rapidly elect a president in order to enhance the work of state institutions,” rebuffing the idea of keeping the country without a Head of State.

He requested of the Lebanese politicians to address the presidential file seriously, saying “this issue should be a priority.”

Gemayel also expressed fears over the fate of the presidency.
