GATTINONI HAUTE COUTURE BRINGS SPRING COLOURS TO MUSCAT RAMP

MUSCAT: Italy’s iconic fashion house, Gattinoni dazzled audiences with its Spring/Summer 2015 haute couture show, ‘Le Jolie Panier Line’ at The Chedi Muscat on Thursday.

The show which was held under the patronage of H H Sayyida Aliya bint Thuwaini al Said, was organised by the Italian Embassy in Muscat.

The exquisite 45-piece collection was presented by Guillermo Mariotto, creative director, Gattinoni whose delicate use of fabrics such as tulle, organza and silk added to the joyful mood of the spring season.

The ramp came alive when a model wearing a breathtaking coral evening gown stepped out of a Ferrari, marking a bright opening to the show. The outfits that followed played with colours such as menthol blue, black currant, olive oil yellow, cinnamon brown, caramel and cream glaze.

The clothes brought to life the elegance of Italian couture, and accessories derived their edge from geometrical shapes.

H E Paola Amadei, Italian Ambassador to Muscat said, “The bilateral relations between Italy and Oman in terms of culture, academia and art and design are very strong. This year an Omani student won a life-time opportunity to work with experts at the Gattinoni Maison. “We would like to thank Omani authorities for bringing about such initiatives.
