Future hails dialogue among political parties, new controls for refugees at borders

JANUARY 7, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Future parliamentary bloc on Wednesday hailed the steps adopted to pave the way for dialogue among the different political parties.

In the wake of the bloc’s weekly meeting, MP Mohammad Hajjar indicated that talks touched on the givens relevant to the dialogue conference with Hezbollah, hoping that this dialogue would facilitate the election of a president of the republic and mitigate tensions in a number of Lebanese regions.

Moreover, Hajjar added that conferees hailed the newly adopted control measures at borders to control the influx of refugees into the country as “sovereign.”

The bloc lastly renewed calls for the deployment of the Lebanese army at the east and north borders, assisted by the UNIFIL, as per UN resolution 1701, in order to face the repercussions of Hezbollah’s participation in Syria fights.
