APRIL 28, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) The Future parliamentary bloc highlighted during its meeting under the chairmanship of MP Fouad Siniora the need to refer the budget to the Parliament, including the salary scale, in accordance with the Constitution.
The meeting dwelled on the disrupted presidential election, and the bloc accused Hezbollah and its allies of hindering this process amid urgent need for an agreement on a strong head of state and a solid commitment to the Constitution.
“This constitutional deadline is an essential national cause,” MPs assured, prompting the boycotters “to participate in the parliamentary session for the election of a consensual president for the salvation of the country.”
Participants assured that the positions expressed by former Prime Minister Saad Hariri during his visit to the United States illustrated the political boundaries to which the Future bloc is committed, both at the internal and the regional levels.
They also condemned the campaign launched by Hezbollah and its allies against Saudi Arabia, criticizing in this context “the involvement of the party in the war in Yemen alongside the rebels, against the Yemeni legitimacy.”
