Foreign Affairs Ministry: 560 Lebanese civil marriages in Cyprus in 2014

FEBRUARY 7, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) “The number of Lebanese civil marriages held in Cyprus reached 560 in the year 2014,” Lebanese Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry disclosed in a statement on Saturday, following a statistical report by Lebanon’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Youssef Sadaka.

“The number includes all religious sects in Lebanon, with no exception,” added the Ministry statement, noting that “the Lebanese incur substantial costs and considerable trouble by holding and registering their marriages in Cyprus.”

“Lebanese citizens can now register their civil marriages in Lebanon, in wake of established procedures,” the statement concluded.
