Food factory given week notice to meet food safety standards

JANUARY 30, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) A food factory in Rawda region in Western Bekaa was given a week -notice to meet the required food safety conditions, National News Agency correspondent in Zahleh said on Friday.

The field reporter added that inspections which came within Health Minister Wael Abou Faour’s food safety campaign revealed that said factory contained various kinds of food (Ketchup, Sugar, Limon Juice, tomato sauce, chickpea cans, etc…) which did not meet the food safety standards.

The reporter added that the confiscated foods were destroyed under the supervision of the General Coordinator, Joyce Haddad, of the food safety campaign.
