FIVE YEAR OLD CRITICAL AFTER BEING HIT BY SCHOOL BUS

MUSCAT: A five year old student of Indian School Ma’abela was seriously injured after being hit by a school bus.

The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon after she was dropped off after school and was waiting to cross the road with her sister.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Wilson George, chairman, board of directors, Indian Schools in Oman said, “The incident took place when the Class 1 student, disembarked from the bus and was waiting with her sister to cross the road.

The driver started the bus without checking if the road in front of him was clear, and hit the girl.”

According to George, the child is in a critical condition and is receiving treatment at the SQU Hospital. “She has received multiple injuries to her head, besides other parts of the body,” George added.
