FEBRUARY 19, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Member of parliament Ahmad Fatfat considered that the national strategy to fight terrorism starts by fortifying the Lebanese state, adding that this strategy won’t be effective except if “a president brings together all parties to a national dialogue.”
The MP told “Voice of Lebanon” radio on Thursday that national dialogue presided by the Republic’s president could not be replaced by any dialogue between two political parties.
Fatfat considered the meeting between Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and “Change and Reform” parliamentary bloc leader, MP Michel Aoun, at the former’s residence in Down-Town was to confirm the openness between the two parties.
The MP reiterated the need to restore the work of the state’s institution which should start by ending power void.
