FEBRUARY 23, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) A delegation of the relatives of military hostages met with Prime Minister Saad Hariri and discussed with him all the updates regarding the dossier of their kidnapped sons.

Speaking from Riad Solh Square, Mayor Mohammed Taleb said “the meeting was good and Hariri showed responsiveness and willingness to assist in all matters related to the [hostages] file.”

He noted that “the government is ready to help closing this dossier whether through ransom or swap.”

“Things are headed towards barter,” Taleb added, noting that the road will not be opened for now, but there will be no further escalation at the current phase.

For his part, Head of the committee of captives’ families Hussein Yousef said “we are committed to secrecy in this file, and Sheikh Mustafa Hujairi is the one assigned to negotiate this dossier.”

“We have heard good words from Hariri and we relayed to him all our demands. We want our sons back any way possible (…) and we call upon the media to report the news with accuracy,” Yousef said.
