Derian visits Hariri’s tomb, urges Lebanese to cling to coexistence

FEBRUARY 13, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian visited on Friday the tomb of the late Prime Minister Rafic Hariri and admitted that “clouds and storms are filling Lebanon’s sky as we extended twice the House’s term and failed to elect a president of the republic.”

“We let the institutions crack and put the security of the people in jeopardy. Amid all that, the commemoration of Prime Minister Hariri’s assassination is here again and we shall not despair. Our determination must be renewed and we must cling to the State,” Derian said, stressing the need for faith in the nation and for adherence to conviviality.
