Derbas: The problem of the government is its presence not its actions

FEBRUARY 8, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Minister of Social Affairs, Rachid Derbas, told Voice of Lebanon radio on Sunday that the government’s dysfunction lies in its very presence rather than its actions.

He explained that the government exceeded the period of its validity and was prone to cracking if it persisted any longer.

Derbas ruled out the possibility of any change in the work methodology of the cabinet.

“All major political issues take a little over half an hour of discussion, while the simple daily life matters of the people take much longer due to an internal agreement amongst us to avoid confrontation.”
