APRIL 13, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) “It is about time we wised-up and became more alert, so as not to fall into the same hole once again,” said Social Affairs, Rashid Derbas, in commemoration of the Lebanese civil war on April 13th.
“However, the Lebanese have become more immune, which renders it more difficult for strife plots to take their toll,” added Derbas in an interview to “MTV” Channel on Monday.
Over the government’s role, Derbas considered that “the cabinet is not ruling but only administering the country’s affairs,” noting that “the reason for that is the absence of applicable programs and plans.”
Derbas praised “the role played by security forces in Tripoli, which have prevented strife and violence currents from reoccurring.”
