Derbas: Housing Institute steps over its crisis

FEBRUARY 5, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Minister of Social Affairs, Rashid Derbas, announced that the Public Housing Institute has succeeded in overcoming all its financial problems and exited the crisis which it was facing to move towards a flourishing future with practical and tangible plans.

The minister’s rhetoric came during a press conference which he held Thursday before noon in order to announce that the said institute received treasury credit notes to cover its debts to the Lebanese Banks and accomplish 2015 budget.

“Despite the difficult circumstances in the country and despite our failure to elect a new president, we take pride that some institutes were able to overcome the difficulties that faced them while trying to fulfill their missions and of these institutes is that of Public Housing,” Derbas commenced the press conference, taking the opportunity to praise the Institute’s Board Director and General Director.

The minister added “Now, I can say that the Institute stepped over and exited the financial obstacles that faced it.”

Derbas also thanked the Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil who understood the institute’s demands and supported them.
