FEBRUARY 23, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) National Education and Higher Education Minister, Elias Bou Saab,
pursues his visit to Iran, where he partakes in the meetings of the conference by the Non-Aligned Countries’ Higher Education Ministers.
Minister Bou Saab met on Monday with Iranian Foreign Minister’s Assistant for Arab and African Affairs, Hussein Amir Abdul Lahyan, who underlined Tehran’s support for the election of a new president in Lebanon, based on the agreement of all political forces as soon as possible.
Al-Lahyan also confirmed Iran’s readiness for the development of bilateral relations with Lebanon at the various levels, and the formation of a supreme committee concerned with cooperation affairs between the two countries.
Minister Bou Saab, for his part, hailed Iran’s supportive positions to Lebanon, saying that Lebanon stands in the front confrontation line in face of Israeli greed.
Talks between the pair also dwelt on bilateral relations and the current regional developments.
