June 03, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Minister of Education and Higher Learning, Elias Bou Saab, confirmed on Wednesday that the preparations for official exams taking place in the best way possible, denying rumors posted on social media that the exams won’t take place.
Bou Saab stressed that the questions of the official exams would not be too hard and would conform to the curriculum.
“The official exams questions must be in harmony with the curriculum () and we will preserve the level of the official certificate,” the Minister said during a press conference which he held to tackle the official exams issue.
“The ministry put a hot-line (01-772050) for complaints,” Bou Saab confirmed, adding that he has full trust in the official exam’s team.
“The exams will take place smoothly without any disruption,” the Minister underscored, explaining that the ministry gave a period for the displaced Syrians to present their applications to participate in the exams just like the Lebanese students.
Bou Saab added that the approval of the salary scale is the teachers’ right “but, unfortunately, this file is being politicized just like every other file in Lebanon.”
