Berri: state institutions’ paralysis inadmissible

APRIL 22, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday told lawmakers during their weekly meeting that ceasing legislation and paralyzing the Parliament were unacceptable, noting that the next session legislative session includes urgent draft laws in its agenda instead of divisive issues.

“Contacts and consultations shall carry on for the next days in that respect,” the Deputies quoted the Speaker as indicating, relaying his keenness on the obligation to elect a president of the republic.

On the regional situation, Berri said that matters were tilting towards reviving dialogue, with the tip of the balance swinging the way of the political solution in Yemen, after the operation “Decisive Storm” ended.
