FEBRUARY 23, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) House Speaker Nabih Berri on Monday said, “Not only does the presidential vacancy fall in presidency, but also entails the cabinet and the Parliament.”
Berri’s fresh stance came Monday as he received in Ain El Tineh a delegation of the administrative council of press headed by Aouni Kaaki who discussed with his host media and press affairs.
The Speaker reiterated the necessity to resort to dialogue to solve local problems.
Afterwards, Berri received heads of the unions of municipalities in Lebanon and discussed with them the issue relevant to the funds of municipalities.
Separately, Berri met with Neemat Ifram over the issues relevant to administrative decentralization, partnership between the public and private sectors and the project of expanding Jounieh highway.
