Beirut Airport navigation resumes

JANUARY 6, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Traffic resumed at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut a while ago, after it was suspended for some time as a result of the heavy storm currently hitting Lebanon, NNA correspondent reported.

Airport Acting Vice President on duty indicated that “the concerned departments operating at the airport are closely monitoring the climate changes that would affect aviation movement,” adding that “all departments and agencies working at the airport are at their highest degrees of alert, and ready to follow-up on the matter to ensure all air services required for navigation safety.”

He also noted that “direct communication with all pilots is maintained whether they are in Lebanese airspace or on the ground, in order to keep them updated on all available information by airport officials in this regards.
