MUSCAT: In its quest to support initiatives by Omani entrepreneurs as well as do its part on promoting tourism in Oman, Bank Sohar sponsored the ‘Oman in Focus 2’ photography tour.
The tour, which focused on Oman’s stunning marine life in different part of the country, came to a close with a stunning exhibition held recently at The Wave, Muscat.
The exhibition, which was held at the Oman Sail premises at The Wave, Muscat, was inaugurated by H H Sayyid Assad bin Tariq al Said.
It showcased some of the most beautiful photographs taken by a team of eight internationally renowned photographers over the course of the ten-day tour. Representing Bank Sohar at the event was Abdullah al Mahmoodi, chief manager of events and promotions.
Commenting on the exhibition, Munira Abdulnabi Macki, DGM human resources and corporate support of Bank Sohar said, “Oman has always been known for its long beaches and beautiful seas, and in recent times, it is quickly growing in popularity as one of the most popular diving destinations in the region as well.
As Omanis we are proud to have such diverse marine life in our country; it is a rare treasure and we believe that we should share with the world. Our support of this tour was an extension of this ideology which aims to promote Oman as one of the most unique and significant tourism destinations.
“I am pleased to see that each of the photographers lived up to their reputations, doing true justice to the beauty and diversity of our marine life. I am confident their photographs will portray Oman as a premier destination for marine tourism both regionally and worldwide.”
