October 29, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Labor Minister, Sejaan Azzi, met on Thursday with the Ambassador of Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Abdul Motaleb Sarker, who paid him a protocol visit.
The meeting had been an occasion to tackle the best means to bolster bilateral relations, as well as the pressing need to organize the labor force of Bangladeshi nationals in Lebanon.
Separately, the Minister had an audience with Batroun Hospital employees, headed by Saad Bassil.
The delegation briefed Azzi on the sufferings of the hospital, most importantly fear from having the Ministry of Health fail to take over the hospital towards the end of 2016.
In turn, Azzi confirmed that the National Social Security Fund shall not cut its services before the Ministry of Health assumes responsibility of the hospital.
He also relayed Minister of Health, Wael Abou Faour’s resolve to have the ministry take over Batroun Hospital’s administration by the beginning of next year.
Most importantly, the Minister confirmed to his visiting delegation that the Ministry of Health and the Social Security Fund shall never abandon Batroun Hospital.
