AlRai inaugurates Archdiocese headquarters in France: For a Bible of Peace amidst the Middle East difficulties

APRIL 26, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) “We are in need of a Bible of Peace amidst the difficulties witnessed in the Middle East,” said Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bshara Butros Al-Rai, as he patronized Sunday the inauguration of the Archdiocese of France in the French City of Mondon.

Al-Rai praised the efforts in helping to establish the Archdiocese, in light of its role in caring for members of the Maronite Sect expatriate community. He stressed on “the depth of historical relations between both the French and Maronite Churches,” and thanked the French Church for “all it has offered to members of the Maronite Sect throughout a century.”

Al-Rai also highlighted the “historical ties linking Lebanon and France at all levels.”
