Abi Ramia: LF, FPM dialogue starts, will continue

FEBRUARY 21, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) “Change and Reform” parliamentary bloc member, Simon Abi Ramia stressed on Saturday that the dialogue between Lebanese Forces (LF) and “Free Patriotic Movement “(FPM) started and would not stop, pointing out that his bloc’s accord with Hizbullah would not stop them from having agreement with any other party.

Abi Ramia described any dialogue as a positive one and aims at stepping over complications between the two parties, wishing “Geagea and Aoun meet soon.”

Abi Ramia pointed out that FPM and “Future” movement have many common issues despite the presence of some radical disagreements, indicating that the new relation and positive role between the two parties contributed in solving many issues– one of them is the formation of Prime Minister Tammam Salam’s cabinet — adding “the right to differ is a source of wealth in Lebanon.”

Responding to a question, Abi Ramia confirmed that General Aoun is on good terms with General Kahwaji, however; he does not support the logic of extending terms at all state institutions.

“We cannot accept the government’s work to appear to go on regularly as if the President of the Republic is present; meaning his presence or absence is one and the same thing, “Abi Ramia said.
