MUSCAT: Fifty-seven companies will take part in the travel and hospitality exhibition which will be held at Al Noor Ballroom in Madinat as Sultan Qaboos from May 12 to 14. Participants will represent airlines, travel and tourism firms, restaurants and tourist resorts.
Organised by the Capital Center for International Exhibition (CCIE), the event will be held under the patronage of H E Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism.
Representatives of airlines and travel firms from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Iran and Germany will also take part in the event.
Sheikh Mansour bin Nasser al Nabhani, general manager, CCIE said, “The first travel and hospitality expo is aimed to contribute to the tourism industry in Oman. Tourism is an important source of income for the national economy. The exhibition aims to highlight investment opportunities offered by the government and inform the public about tourism facilities in the country.”
Adil Abdullah al Zadjali, sales manager, Oman Air Holidays, said, “We are proud to be associated with an event that will be promoting sultanate as a tourist destination. We have been flying in tourists and Oman has a great potential to emerge as a tourist hub in the region.”
There will be daily raffles and prizes for visitors attending the exhibition, including air tickets, stay at hotels and dinner vouchers.
