AMMAN, — Sudanese President Omer Al-Basher has reiterated Sudan’s solid stance towards the Palestinian question, expressing hope that the Arab Summit here will send a strong and decisive message stressing the need to end the suffering of the Palestinian people by realization of their aspirations for an independent State with Al-Quds as its capital.

President Al-Basher, who stated this when addressing the 28th Arab Summit in Amman, Jordan, Wednesday, also affirmed Sudan’s full support to the legitimacy of Yemen’s government, led by President Abdo Rabo Mansour, as well as Sudan’s unlimited support to the Government of National Unity in Libya headed by Faiz Al-Saraj,

He also stressed the need to reach a comprehensive negotiated peace and attainment of stability in Libya, without any foreign intervention and military solutions.

Referring to the situation in Syria, President Al-Basher affirmed the resolutions issued by previous Arab summits, and reiterated Sudan’s solid stance for ending the suffering of the Syrian people by reaching a peaceful solution to stop the bloodshed and maintain peace and stability in that country.

“We are also watching closely the situations in Iraq, hoping that peace and security will prevail, a matter that will realize the aspirations of the people of Iraq,” President Al-Basher stressed.

He also affirmed the co-operation of Sudan with the international community to fight terrorism.
