ROYAL HASHEMITE COURT OF JORDAN WINS KUWAITI AWARD
KUWAIT, Nov 16 (NNN-PETRA) – The Royal Hashemite Court (RHC), won Kuwait’s Sheikh Salem Al Ali Al Sabah Informatics Award, as the best user of social media in the Arab World.
The RHC won the first prize for government bodies, followed by the Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), while the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, came third in the culture category, deputy head of the Informatics Award organising committee, Bassam Al-Shammari told a press conference.
Ten government and Arab institutions have won the 2015 prizes of Sheikh Salem Al Ali Al Sabah Informatics Award, as the best users of social media in the Arab World, according to Al-Shammari, noting that, winners of the 15th version of the Award cover the government, the private sector, education, health and civil society.
Al-Shammari said that, Kuwait has won three prizes.
The National Mobile Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo) won third place in the private sector category, while charity organisation, Direct Aid, won the award of the civil society, and Taiba Hospital was given the second prize in health, he added.
Two Saudi companies, Almarai and Jairi, won first and second places in the private sector category respectively, while Dallah Hospital received the third prize in health. The education prize was awarded to Qatar Foundation, Al-Shammari said.
Winners will be handed the prizes during the closing ceremony, which will be held under the patronage of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in Dec.– NNN-PETRA
