MoL to harness growing momentum to get more Emiartis into private sector: Ghobash

WAM Dubai, 27th Dec. 2013 (WAM) — Over the next three years, the Ministry of Labour will maintain its momentum to empower more Emiratis to join the private sector, attract high qualified Emirati professionals to boost productivity and enhance labour market stability so as to strike a balance in interests of both employers and employees to deliver objectives of the UAE Vision 2021, Saqr bin Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, has said.

The MoI’s strategic plan 2014-2016, he added, features delivery of high-quality services, improvement of institutional efficiency and performance and promotion of the UAE profile at international arenas.

Ghobash told the MoI’s third annual forum yesterday that the ministry recognised the vital importance of a well-established culture of excellence and innovation and is striving to create an attractive work environment for its human resources to deliver the aspired objectives.

Ghobash highlighted the major achievements made under the 2011-2013 strategic plan in terms of labour market stability, corporate classification system, recruitment agency regulations, labour mobility systems, and wage protection system.

The minister honoured 32 federal and local entities, other stakeholders as well as MoI team works and high achieving employees.
