EGYPT IMPORTS TWO MILLION OIL BARRELS MONTHLY, 1.5 TONNES DIESEL YEARLY FROM KUWAIT

MANAMA, Bahrain, Nov 20 (NNN-KUNA) – Egypt imports two million barrels of oil a month and 1.5 tonnes of diesel fuel a year from Kuwait, with easy payment plan, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tariq Al-Mulla announced on Thursday.

Al-Mulla made this remark to KUNA, on the fringes of the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP) forum, currently being held in Bahrain.

He added that, Egypt has invested USD 7.8 billion, in the petroleum industry last year; next year it will invest USD 8 billion to develop it.

He pointed out that, there is an existing trilateral Cooperation (Egypt, Jordan and Iraq), to deliver 1.1 billion square litres of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to Egypt.– NNN-KUNA
