More than 2 thousand of students exit terrorist-controlled areas in countryside of Aleppo for exams

The first batch of students of the Basic Education Certificate, arrived in Aleppo , coming from the areas controlled by terrorist organizations through the al-Tayha crossing in the countryside of Aleppo, in preparation for taking the Sharia’a basic and preparatory education certificate exam, in cooperation between the Russian Coordination Center and Aleppo Governorate, and a number of authorities concerned and organizations in Governorate.

“In coordination with the Syrian state, incoming students are received through the Al-Tayha crossing to take basic and secondary school certificate exams, and supervise their reception and transfer to hosting centers, head of the Russian Coordination Center in Aleppo, Colonel Sergey Vladimirevich said .

In turn, the Director of Education in Aleppo, Mustafa Abdul-Ghani, said that thousands of students from the regions of Manbij, Ain al-Arab, al-Bab, Afrin and Jarabulus will come to Aleppo over a period of four days, and upon their arrival they will be distributed to the 42 hosting centers.

Education Minister, Arab counterparts discuss prospects for joint cooperation

Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, met a number of his Arab counterparts and discussed with them the prospects for joint educational cooperation.

That came on the sidelines of the 13th Arab Education Ministers Conference which is being held in the Moroccan Capital of Rabat under the auspices of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

In this framework, Minister Tabbaa met the Egyptian, Moroccan, and Palestinian ministers of education, and the Comoros, Somali, Djiboutian, Qatari, Kuwaiti, and Libyan ministers.

The Arab ministers expressed happiness at Syria’s return to its usual place in the associations and organizations of the Arab League, looking forward to joint cooperation with it.

In turn, Minister Tabbaa underlined the importance of the joint Arab educational work in developing the skills of the young generation, inviting them to visit Damascus.

At the conclusion of the Conference, Minister Tabbaa received the ALESCO Shield Award in appreciation of the efforts made by the Education Ministry in the field of digital transformation.

Tabbaa, Director General of Saudi (Mawhiba) Center of Excellence discuss educational cooperation

The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, discussed Wednesday Khaled Al-Sharif, Director General of Saudi (Mawhiba) Center of Excellence, prospects for joint cooperation.

That came on the sidelines of the 13th Arab Education Ministers Conference, which is being held in the Moroccan capital of Rabat under the auspices of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

Minister Tabbaa showed Syria’s interest in the field of excellence, creativity and gifted care through a number of educational programs and activities for the distinguished of different age groups.

During the meeting, an invitation was presented to Syria to participate with a number of Arab countries in an annual event organized by Mawhiba Center, which begins next June and ends next September.

Mawhiba is a Saudi foundation that aims to discover and nurture creative people in scientific fields, and to contribute to building a system and model for talent and creativity locally, regionally and globally.

Instructions to regulate university student’s partisan activities approved

Council of Higher Education (CHE) approved instructions to regulate student partisan activities in Jordan’s higher education institutions, in its session held on May 4, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafazah, announced on Sunday. The minister added that CHE issued instructions in accordance with provisions of Articles (8) and (11) of the bylaw regulating student partisan activities. In a statement, Mahafazah noted the instructions were submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval and publication in the Official Gazette.

Syria participates in UNESCO meeting on discussing Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in education

With the participation of Syria, a virtual ministerial round table meeting was held on Thursday, organized by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with the aim of discussing the normative framework for ethics of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) in education.

Relevant ministers and officials from 17 countries around the world participated alongside Syria in the meeting, including Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ireland, Mali, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Venezuela, Armenia, Bulgaria, People’s Republic of China, Canada, Ivory Coast, Italy, South Africa, Uzbekistan and Spain.

Minister of Education, Darem Tabbaa noted that the use of generative artificial intelligence in education is a necessity that requires the development of services similar to human educational capabilities that make the learner capable of continuous scientific simulation according to bases that allow him to provide data within a homogeneous human-technological environment that achieves the desired development, without hiding the features of a sound social structure.

Tabbaa pointed out that the problem of generative artificial intelligence in education is that the content it produces is not always accurate or appropriate because it takes into account the truth in a limited way.

Tabaa noted that the ministry launched an educational search engine to enable learners through generative artificial intelligence to access secure and reliable appropriate knowledge and skills to develop their capabilities.

Education Minister meets delegation of European Front for the Defense of Syria

Minister of Education, Dr.Darem Tabaa, received Wednesday delegation of the European Front for the Defense of Syria (the Italian Casa Pound party).

During the meeting, Minister Tabaa noted that the importance of delegation’s role in defending Syria and conveying the true civilized image of it, adding that the delegation’s visit affirmed role of peoples to boost the communication between cultures.

The Minister pointed out to the importance of exchanging the experiences, youth delegations and developing the educational cooperation in all its domains.

For his part, Head of the Italian delegation, Gianluca Iannone, Chairman of the Casa Pound part ,pointed out that the purpose of visit is to provide support and solidarity with Syria and to enhance the Syrian-Italian rapprochement .
