Education Minister reviews plans to modernize education system, develop human resources, 1st, final add


He clarified that the directorates of education in the proposed ministry will be reduced from 42 to 12, so that each governorate will have a directorate linked administratively to the General Secretariat for Strategic Planning and Performance, and technically to the General Secretariat for the different stages of education, in addition to giving a greater administrative and technical role to directorates and schools in the governorates, and focusing on the school and the teacher as the basis for the quality of educational outputs and attention in continuous training for teachers.

The two bodies, the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) and the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC), will be merged under the name of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, and the functions of the Education Quality and Accountability Unit at the Ministry of Education will be transferred to the new commission.

He said that the implementat
ion of the plan will be done through three development tracks: Organizational, structural, administrative, institutional, and legislative.

For his part, Touq pointed out the link between the NCCD and the Ministry of Education, as the strategic reforms set by the plan are the basis for progress and administrative reform.

He said that the new plan is good and ambitious and depends on two basic elements for the success of any plan: structuring and the availability of human resources necessary for the implementation process, noting that if human resources and available financial resources are provided “we will work on a major reform in the education sector, which is very costly to reform, but its return is highly guaranteed.”

For his part, Bakkar said that everyone is aware that the education system is included in the administrative modernization plans and is linked to the outcomes of the economic modernization vision as part of the government’s initiative to develop the public sector.

He added that the Minis
try of Education will change its name in the future after linking education and human resources and providing an incubating environment to the success of the merger idea as the sector is intertwined.

The UAE receives the 17th group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients

Gaza: Together – The UAE received the seventeenth group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients who were evacuated to receive the necessary treatment, in implementation of the directives of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to provide treatment and health care for 1,000 wounded Palestinian children and 1,000 from Cancer patients from the Gaza Strip are in state hospitals, embodying the UAE’s established humanitarian approach in standing by our brothers and extending a helping hand to them in various circumstances.

The plane coming from Al-Arish Airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt landed at Abu Dhabi Airport carrying a group of children whose conditions require special medical care, and cancer patients who need intensive treatment, with accompanying families, in accordance with the health protocol recognized in medical evacuation operations.

After the plane landed, medical teams worked to transport the wounded and injured, whose conditions required immediate care, to hospitals in A
bu Dhabi. To receive treatment, the rest of the cases and their companions were transferred to the Emirates Humanitarian City, their residence.

This initiative comes within the continuous efforts undertaken by the UAE at various levels to provide relief to the brotherly Palestinian people, and to enhance the response to the deteriorating humanitarian conditions taking place in the Strip.

services, saying: “The department worked to transform into a digital department through 3 main stages, which was represented by providing services electronically, which numbered 65 services, as 1.7 million services were provided electronically last year.”

The second stage represents the transformation of the tax audit and inspection electronically through the inspection project in the field and electronic digital control, which was accompanied by the amendment of legislation, and the third stage included the transition to electronic partners, so it adopted a special system for electronic invoicing.”

For his part, the Director of the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department, Colonel Engineer Omar Al-Quraan, said that most of the department’s services are already automated, which facilitated their transition to electronic services, but the traditional service is still faster than the electronic one due to the traditional coupon, which will be converted electronically soon, to make a qualitative leap in elect
