Ayaan storms into U12 final
Ayaan Malhotra entered the final of the U12 boys’ singles event of the annual tennis tournament, organised by Indian Social Club (ISC) Muscat, after defeating Vivek Kolluru on Friday.
Ayaan won 6-2, 4-6, 10-8 in the semifinal contest.
The top three seeds in the U14 boys’ singles event booked their berths in the semifinals.
In the quarters, top seed Vedant Ram beat Varun Deepak 6-4, second seed Hassan Haider beat Prithvi Raj 6-1, third seed Sanskar Dubey beat Ayaan 6-4. Also, Avigyaan Bhattacharya beat Shlok Ail 6-2.
OEF chairman attends FEI general assembly
The chairman of the Oman Equestrian Federation (OEF), Sayyid Mundhir al Busaidi, attended the general assembly of the FEI, the world equestrian body, in San Juan, Puerto Rico from November 10-13.
The meeting discussed a number of laws and regulations that govern the equestrian sport.
On the sidelines of the general assembly meeting, Busaidi attended the meeting of the FEI’s Group VII that comprises 18 national federations from the Arab world.
