Salam tackles various affairs with itinerants

November 05, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Prime Minister, Tammam Salam, met at the Grand Serail on Thursday with Tele-communications Minister, Boutros Harb, who stressed in the wake of the meeting the paramount importance of finding a solution to the waste crisis, even if it were to be at the expense of the adopted norms and routines.

Harb wished of Salam to swiftly thrash out the waste crisis “because the Lebanese are no longer capable of tolerating the crisis.”

Responding to a question why the Prime Minister doesn’t summon his cabinet and place each minister before his own responsibility, Harb confirmed that during the last dialogue session, Salam had done so.

“When we fail to reach a final solution for some reason or another, the cabinet will find itself obliged to raise its voice, and then it would be up to all the sides that hindered the solutions to publicly handle their responsibilities,” he added.

Separately, Salam had an audience with Lebanese Central Bank Governor, Dr. Riad Salameh, with talks reportedly touching on an array of financial matters.

Head of the socio-economic council, Roger Nasnas, also visited Salam today for talks over the councils most recent activities.
