Salam gives instructions for swift scanning of Beirut blast scene, berates barbaric crime

November 13, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Prime Minister, Tammam Salam, on Friday chaired an urgent meeting at the Grand Serail, in the wake of the terrorist double blast in the southern suburb of Beirut.

After observing a minute of silence over the martyrdom of tens of citizens, Salam indicated that the barbaric crime in Burj al-Barajneh had hit Lebanon, stressing that what happened must be a motive for further coordination among the security apparatuses to shun danger nationwide as well as for further rallying around the military and security forces in what he termed as “their sacred mission.”

He then upped calls for anchoring national solidarity.

Salam also gave necessary instructions to the Higher Relief Committee to swiftly scan the explosion scene to estimate damages compensations.

Conferees decided to tighten security measures nationwide.

Ministers of National Defense, Finance, Public Health, Interior, and Justice, alongside State Prosecutor, Army Chief, and security chiefs, attended the meeting.
