LAF arrests Lebanese in Akkar for terrorist links

November 22, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) A patrol from the Lebanese Armed Forces Intelligence raided the residence of Lebanese national Habib A. in the Akkar town of Birkayel, and arrested him on charges of belonging to a terrorist group.

In the town of Sheikh Zanad, an ISF patrol was intercepted by a Mercedes, in an attempt to hinder the patrol’s movement.

The ISF members were forced then to open fire at the car, which had A.Z. and M.L. on board. No casualties were reported as the two culprits fled to an unknown destination.
