Kataeb deplores Cabinet failure to convene in wake of Burj Barajneh twin bombing

November 16, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Kataeb party categorically deplored the failure of the Cabinet to meet in an imminent session in the wake of the dreadful Burj Barajneh twin bombing, saying that such a letdown is deemed “a crime against the Lebanese people that equates the Burj Barajneh crime.”

“The Party holds the government in all its components the responsibility of placing the nation’s supreme interests and people’s security and daily living concerns above any other calculation,” Kataeb said in a statement on Monday in the wake of its regular Politburo weekly session.

The meeting, presided over by Party Boss Sami Gemayel, broached most recent developments.

Conferees stood a minute of silence in tribute of the fallen victims of the Burj Barajneh twin bombing, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.

On Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah’s utterances on a comprehensive political agreement, Kataeb hoped that such a matter would usher an indication to re-prioritize the internal situation and ‘lebanonize’ the current conflict, regardless of what is happening in the region.

On the other hand, Kataeb offered heartfelt condolences to the French state and the families of the fallen victims of the terror bombings, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.
