Hout to NNA: MEA is committed to state decisions on airline routes

November 20, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Middle East Airline (MEA) Board Chairman Mohammed Hout told the National News Agency (NNA) during a phone call that the Lebanese airline routes fall within the responsibility of the state in Lebanon, and thus the Company shall abide by any decision to be adopted by the state in this regard.

Hout was commenting on the cable received by the concerned airport authorities from the Russian Navy on its maneuvers over the next three days (as of midnight) and the extent of their impact on air traffic.

“If the state decides to change the airline routes, we shall run our flights according to the new tracks If the state decides to maintain same existing tracks, we shall stick to our current list of tracks,” Hout remarked.
