Future calls for extraordinary cabinet session

November 17, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) The Future parliamentary bloc stressed on Tuesday the importance of immediately holding an extraordinary cabinet session in order to closely monitor both the latest security developments and the waste crisis.

The parliamentary bloc reviewed latest developments on the Lebanese and regional scenes at its weekly meeting chaired by former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.

After the meeting, MP Ziad Kadiri condemned the double suicide bombing of Bourj el-Barajneh in his reading to the bloc’s final communique, noting that this terrorist crime revealed the Lebanese people’s sense of solidarity against such attacks.

“This crisis could form a starting point to face the challenges of the next period and face the dangers looming over Lebanon,” Kadiri said.

The “Future” hoped brotherhood among the Lebanese would encourage them to face any kind of discord, to find effective solutions for fighting terrorism and to speed up the election of a president.

The bloc, in the same context, condemned the terrorist acts that shook the capital of France.

Pertaining to counter-terrorism plans, Kadiri said his bloc praised the achievements made by the security forces in this context.

“The bloc estimates that Hezbollah Secretary General’s words about a comprehensive political compromise had a positive impact that must be exploited in the election of a new president to consolidate and protect the country in face of all perils,” he concluded.
