Fayyad: Terrorism requires follow up, cooperation

November 16, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Deputy Ali Fayyad called on the Lebanese to boost national unity to be able “to confront the danger of extremism”.

His remarks came during a tour in the south to mark the martyr’s day.

The lawmaker touched on the twin blasts that rocked Beirut’s southern suburbs and France.

“Takfiri terrorism is a priority and requires follow-up,” he stressed.

He urged the International Community and the regional states to cooperate to put limit to the expansion of this wave which is threatening the entire world.

“We are sure that the resistance can defeat terrorism,” the MP said.

Finally, he implored the Lebanese to unite and reactivate the state’s institutions in a bid to achieve stability and protect the country from the Takfiri danger.
