Darian calls to anchor unity, shun disputes

November 06, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdullatif Darian on Friday highlighted the necessity to entrench Islamic and national unity, close ranks, and skirt disputes and quandaries, accentuating the role of Dar-al-Fatwa in anchoring love, tolerance, and coexistence among the Lebanese.

Darian chaired today a meeting for Muslim scholars in Beirut, which featured high on an array of religious affairs, in addition to the necessity of preserving the role and the message of mosques.

Accordingly, he shed light on the substantial role of scholars in bringing all the Muslims closer and reinforcing communication and cooperation among the different Lebanese communities, particularly in the face of attempts to sow strife.
