Change and Reform bloc holds weekly meeting, mulls over fair electoral law

November 18, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) The Change and Reform Parliamentary bloc held its weekly meeting on Wednesday with talks reportedly focused on the paramount importance of drafting a fair electoral law which makes up for the diminishing prerogatives of the Lebanese president’s active partnership.

In the wake of the meeting, former Minister Salim Jreissati, said that the meeting kicked off with bloc Leader MP Michel Aoun’s fresh stance on terrorism, deeming Paris attack a turning point in the history of war on terrorism.

“The meeting has also been an occasion to discuss the latest national dialogue session which focused on the electoral law’s constitutional characteristics,” Jreissati added.

He also relayed Aoun’s utter refusal of a de facto presidency by all means.
