Bou Saab, Zeck tackle current situation

November 15, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Higher Education Minister, Elias Bou Saab, met Sunday with German Parliament Member in charge of the Lebanese dossier at the European Union, Tobias Zeck, who visited him in Rabieh accompanied by German Ambassador to Lebanon, Martin Huth.

The pair tackled Syrian refugees’ conditions in Lebanon, especially after the recent German government donation in this regard, with Bou Saab thanking again Germany for its support and pledging to continue the cooperation.

Talks reportedly also touched on the situation in the region and Lebanon, especially in wake of recent events.

Bou Saab stressed the need “to dry up” the financial resources of terrorism, wondering how some countries are still buying oil from ISIS and thus, supporting it indirectly.

The Minister added that “the international community should boycott this group to prevent any consequences, such as what happened in France.”
