Abou Faour: Explosions will not deter us from calling for political settlement

November 15, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Health Minister, Wael Abou Faour, said on Sunday that the terrorist attacks on Dahyeh and Paris are suspicious; particularly that France is one of the countries that stand in solidarity with the Syrian people.

Speaking at an event for the Progressive Socialist Party, Abou Faour noted that tragedy unites the Lebanese and was a call for the awakening of national conscience.

“The events in Dahyeh and France clearly indicate that we are entering a new phase of heightened danger,” he said, “and thus, we are convinced of the necessity of a comprehensive political resolution.”

The Minister stated that such a settlement could save Lebanon from attempts at inciting strife.
