336 LONG-SERVING EMPLOYEES OF ORPIC HONOURED AT EVENT

MUSCAT: Orpic honoured 336 employees at its annual Long Service Awards held recently. The high profile event honoured employees who have actively contributed to the company’s success.

The awards were given to those who have five, ten, 15, 20 and 25 years of service.

The event at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, was held under the auspices of H E Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Secretary- General of the Supreme Council for Planning and chairman of Orpic. In his welcome address, Eng Nofal al Saidi, general manager – human resource services, Orpic, thanked His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for leading the nation towards growth and prosperity and wished His Majesty the Sultan long life and good health.

“As a responsible organisation, we aim to attract, develop and retain best-in-class talent. We are committed to creating jobs for Omanis while offering opportunities for all our employees to develop fulfilling careers. To be the partner of choice to current and prospective employees, we have created efficient operational structures, ensuring the right people are in the right positions,” he said.

Omanisation has reached 74 per cent in the company, he said, adding that Orpic has attracted 305 new Omani and expatriate skilled and experienced staff to enhance its growth plan.
